Kodak film price increases in Japan

Another blow to Kodak shooters in Japan-  National Photo today announced an upcoming price increase effective February 4th.

Highlights include:

-Professional color film price increases:  7% ~ 134%

-Black and white film price increases:  6% ~ 191%

-Amateur color film price increases:  39% ~ 101%

-Kodak chemistry and color papers increase: 15% 

-A roll of Tri-X will rise from 650 yen to 950.

I suggest heading over to BIC Camera or Yodobashi and stocking up like a crazy person* before everyone else does because the film shelves are going to be picked clean by the evening of February 3rd if not sooner….
