If you’re interested in color street photography do yourself a favor and get a copy of Mrs. Hara’s latest book These Are Days as soon as you can. With this finder-less camera she makes wonderful pictures. You can see sample images from the book and read more about her on her publisher’s site here.
Regarding her feelings on the camera, she has wonderfully said that:
“The camera eye is more honest, simple, coolheaded and unforgiving that my own eyes. More than merely visualizing the ideas of the photographer, I feel the camera excels as an apparatus that can grasp and slowly scoop up things we cannot understand or perceive. So as a photographer myself I want to exist as transparently as I can.“
