Sato’s Yesterday series (2013 2014) is similar to many other ongoing series of exhibited work by Tokyo street photographers- his theme of candidly photographed women in trains mixed in with street work flows on. This series is quite interesting and what’s more he’s a marvelous darkroom printer. My snaps here of his beautiful prints taken with my broken GRD4 through the glass of these frames does not do his work justice. Here’s hoping he’ll have a photobook out sometime in the future- certainly a larger audience should be able to appreciate his pictures in person.
