Visiting with Tomona Hayashi at her exhibition at 3rd District Gallery on Sunday- it was great to be able to show her my #ContactSheet batch fresh from that morning’s print session- I also had a box of little prints that she went kindly through, too. What’s great about prints this size is that you can easily carry them around for when you meet up with photographers you know and respect- there’s been many times when Tomona has tossed me a box of 80 little prints of hers for a look-see- once even during a random meeting in the street. Most of my friends work this way- small prints for edits and then large fiver prints later. It’s good to see a lot of a friend’s recent work at once to really get a feel for what they’re up to- I think I had about 100 prints this day and another 800 #35mm frames in the contacts.
