Nine new photographs make up Hishinuma’s latest instalment of his Kage series. What I wrote about his show in May still applies. The path his work is taking is quite interesting and unlike anything anyone else is doing now in Japan. Hishinuma was one of eight young photographers featured in EyeScream magazine’s New Shutter Age new generation photographer special issue- you can see some images from the magazine (including ones that use Hishinuma’s photos) here. It’s great to see him getting the rising exposure he rightfully deserves.
