Prospect Park, en route to Meadowport Arch.
A lovely pair of women, mother and daughter. The daughter has the new-to-her Canon F-1, and the mother had the Leica M7 that she so thoughtfully set on the ground so I could get it in good light. The mother is going to get the daughter into the darkroom ASAP.
I met these people as I entered the park during offleash hours for dogs. We bring our one-year-old dog here most mornings so she can run and play off some energy. When I greeted the film photographers and explained my blog, they were willing participants. As I was asking about their cameras, my dog broke free and took off. Then my Fujifilm X100T I was carrying “forgot” its memory card at home. And I left my smartphone at home. I apologized that I didn’t have a digital camera to shoot their cameras, and the older woman enthusiastically told me to use my camera–the Bessa L hanging around my neck. Of course! The real camera!
So thank you anonymous mother and daughter!
And the dog was fine.
New York Camera Style is so good.
