A few snaps from the recent Instagram Japan Entrepreneur event held Monday, April 11th at the Leica Ginza Salon in Tokyo-
The highlight of the evening was a talk by Instagram CEO and co-founder Kevin Systrom and co-founder Mike Krieger on Instagram’s strong connections with their Japanese user base.
Dr. Andreas Kaufmann, Chairman of Leica, seen on the left in the second picture along with Leica Japan CEO Mr. Fuke, and Matt Jacobson, was in attendance with his prototype Leica Monochrom and a one-of-a-kind red 50mm f2 APO-Summicron lens. Dr. Kaufmann presented Kevin and Mike each with a custom white Leica X2 camera in commemoration of, in Dr. Kaufmann’s words, “making photography the most popular pastime in the world”.
