The photo gallery/photo bookstore Sokyusha currently has copies of Jun Abe’s just released limited edition portfolios of his now extremely difficult to find book Citizens.
Produced by The Third Gallery Aya in Osaka, these portfolios consist of one copy of Citizens published by Vaccuum Press in 2009 and one original 8x10 print in a handsome box. There are only fifteen of these made- five of each of the three choices of prints you can see in the second picture above.
I’ve written about Abe several times over the past few years with reviews/introductions of his books Citizens, Kokubyaku Note, Manila, andKokubyaku Note 2, as well as one of his exhibitions in Tokyo in 2012. Abe’s books can be purchased from Japan Exposures.
