Seen: 三つ目の部屋へ The Third Room

Naohiro Harada’s second exhibition at Zen Foto is a series of photograms and street snaps charged by contrast between immensely deep shadows and vivid cuts of color- some slightly altered in the darkroom. Interestingly there was no digital manipulation involved in the creation of this series- The candid street work was shot on Kodak Portra through a Mamiya 645 medium format camera. The accompanying photobook for the series is one that would fit easily into a street photography photobook collection but at the same time be unlike anything else on the shelf.
