Dan Epthorp’s work is comprised of photographs that reflect a peculiar and utterly individual line of sight. This “vision” is a product of a peculiar and utterly individual way of thinking. His pictures are connected by a taut, stripped down ribbon of interest that gives no thought in meeting current (& particularly online) expectations. His pictures suggest what might remain after expectations and influence have been worn away through doing the work for its own benefit.
