The October 2013 issue of Nippon Camera had a special feature entitled:

「カメラマンの秘密の”道具”教えます!」 We show you the secret weapons of the pros!

Twenty two photographers were asked to contribute a personal “secret weapon” to share with the readers of the magazine.  Items ranged from 24-foot tripods to infrared filters, disposable cameras to bicycles.  The GoPro Hero 3 which ERIC presented appeared on Tokyo Camera Style back in June (he’s got the same rig at the right edge of this image here).  Page 149 shows Keizo Modota's Widelux F7- it's the same camera which he used for a long time in Harajuku to make work which resulted in his MOTODA show and accompanying photobook earlier this year.

I submitted my interest in vintage issues of the magazine- not necessarily for the techniques they were intended to instruct but instead the overall mood they possess.

Additionally nearly everyone featured shared their choice mode of transportation. The landscape and nature guys all had vans or wagons. I think we can all agree that Motoda’s 1971 Triumph Bonneville T 120R is far cooler than my beat-up size 14 Converse sneakers.   His blog is pretty rad, too.
