So just what would a mash-up of Japanese anime girls and vintage camera lenses look like?
This.
It would look like this: Old Lens Girls Collection.
Old Lens Girls Collection is a publication by a duo consisting of an illustrator, Garnet and a photographer, Tetsu Sawamura. Created with what I suspect was not even half the seriousness with which the average western viewer might assume was intended, this rather unique 32 page book hits Japanese bookstores on December 30th.
If you’re the kind of person who looks at a C Mount Angenieux Paris 25mm f0.95 lens and thinks “Well, that’s a nice looking lens- but what would it look like if it was a teenage anime girl ?” rest assured, this is the book for you. (And by the way, it would look like this. )

BONUS: There’s a similar book from 2012 that focuses on film cameras called Classic Camera Girl. This site also offers preview pages of the illustrations within- click on each to see the pictures much larger.
While neither are currently in stock at Japan Exposures they would have no trouble in getting either book to your bookshelf.
