The December 2013 issue marked the end of the third year of Tokyo Camera Style’s serialization in Nippon Camera. Due to the popularity of the feature it has generously been extended into 2014 by the editors of the magazine. 2013 saw the fifth anniversary of the site as well as well as the broadening of the experience over to Instagram as well.
I want to offer sincere thanks to all who’ve helped make it a success so far- from the daily visitors, 8,000+ followers on Tumblr, each and every person whom I’ve met on the street and in many cases, like with Matt above, befriended. It’s been a lot of fun and from what I understand, has ended up making a lot of people happy.
I have no plans on stopping, but as you may have noticed over the past few months I’ve been more keen on showing you more about not just cameras, but photography and photographers here in Japan, too. I look forward to continuing on with the site and welcome your continued interest- 2014 is looking to be another interesting year.
