Wandering around Asakusa today- camera clubs are out in full force after girls done upon kimono for Coming Of Age day. If the ladies so much as pause they find themselves surrounded by a mass of DSLRs whirring away. That to me is far more interesting subject matter than a pretty girl on a pretty kimono to try and make a picture of.
There are a lot of film cameras out too— I’ve heard “you’re the guy from Nippon Camera!” more times in an hour than I get all month.
