Spiral Garden in Omotesando is currently host to a large exhibition of recent work by Natsumi Hayashi, the Yowa Yowa Camera Woman entitled ”Today’s Levitation”. While the images presented are all found on Hayashi’s website, the experience of encountering them enlarged 9 meters wide is unlike anything you’ll get from a computer monitor. Natsumi is a friend of mine and we collaborated on a piece last year- it was a pleasant surprise to see that image framed on the wall of the gallery. The exhibition opening reception was well attended and reflected the growth of a talented and hardworking young artist.
The exhibition is sponsored by lingerie brand une nana cool and as a collaboration between the company and artist, limited editions of Yowa Yowa themed products are available including postcard sets and even applique accessories. You can read the full press release in English here.
