Seen: Megumi Okubo’s 外側を流れる / It flows through the outside

The “bad” weather which appears so often mixed in with Okubo’s pictures of nights and city streets expresses an honestly unique and consistent vision of her world- something that continues flowing through this exhibition. She’s someone who can (and has) photograph a field of snow and have it look dark.
This is Okubo’s second show of 2014 and sadly her last as a member of Totem Pole. While everyone wishes her the best for her new life in Kyushu, her contributions to the gallery and photography in Tokyo will be missed.
