Late August sees the fifth installment of my ongoing Zuisha series at Totem Pole. Per usual I’m showing new work taken since the previous exhibition. Each show features twenty prints so this event will mark 100 exhibited pictures in the series.
My lack of comfort with this batch is part of why I think of the whole deal as experimental. I’m interested and life and photography. I’ve got no agenda, no message- part of that is unsettling but at the same time, especially after a trip to a bookstore with a large and New photobook selection, having no concept or idea or hell, even basic theme- is clarifying. The title and continuation “Zuisha" is honestly kind of cover for working on my own stuff on my own terms. I don’t want to owe anything to any particular genre or movement- much less their online champions.
Anyway- the show is up for one week. If you want to stop by and chat, I’ll be in the gallery every day open to close except for Saturday the 24th.
