valerian:

for editing my exhibitions I take 11x14 fiber prints to the local 7-11 and with the photo copier shrink them 50% onto B5 sized paper which I trim later at home.  This way I can have the images around with me all the time to “live” with them.  I flip through the photocopies in the train, before bed, or like in the image above, lay them out and talk about them with a friend at McDonald’s.   By the time I hang the show I have a pretty good idea about what will go next to what and so on.

some exhibition thoughts/procedures via my other tumblr.   Hope you all don’t mind these more personal entires to the site-  Cameras are nice, but in the end it’s about what one does with them. Photographs give form to the experiences and views of their creator. Sometimes they’re happy accidents.  The goal isn’t to make “Great Shots!” but rather utilize this system to learn and hopefully say something about the world.  Whether you do with with one image or a dozen, twenty or a thousand it does not matter- what matters is the fact that these statements exist to be seen, interpreted, and hopefully enjoyed.
